Another lovely product by Dermalogica! I wouldn't recommend to use it everyday as it is quite expensive, but it is really good for heavy makeup, and if you've had a long day and your face feels a bit grotty, it literally melts away your makeup! Also good on holiday to clean of suntan lotion from your face, to save clogging up your pores. All round very good!!

Favorite cleansing product

Received a free sample after a facial and have used it ever since. Leaves my skin feeling really clean and feels like all the grime and oil from the day and makeup is all gone with out being harsh on my face. An awesome product!

Fantastic - Does exactly what it says!

Love love love this product!Before I started using it I couldnt really see the point...why pre cleanse if you're about to cleanse??Well I am reformed!It removes all the gunk in your skin so when you do go to cleanse it removes the dirt deep down.I have ultra sensitive skin that can be dry but I also get breakouts, this product is great for controlling them.Dont let the fact it is an oil put you off! It really will sort those stubborn spots out and clear underlying bumps and congestion.

This is a truly fabulous product. Having used several different brands of cleanser in the past, I had never before found one which effectively removes all make-up, particularly mascara and eyeliner - until now!It is gentle on the skin yet manages to remove all traces of make-up, banishing panda eyes and making you feel superbly clean and refreshed.

I was really surprised how well this works. Personally I need to apply and leave for a minute or two to effectively remove make-up, mascara etc. Leaves skin very soft with no irritation even for sensitive skin like mine.

Excellent Stuff!!

As a self confessed make up junkie, I absolutely love this product and cannot be without it - if I stop using it for a few days my skin breaks out in spots! It thoroughly melts all make up (including waterproof mascara) and daily grime from your skin but doesnt leave it dry or oily at all, just perfectly clean, smooth and soft! I highly recommend this to everyone, even if you dont wear make up you will really see a big difference in your skin!! This is a real must have product!

Brilliant!

I got a sample of this from my dermatologist and it is truly amazing. It precleanses my skin really well and after I cleanse my skin once more with my special cleansing gel, my skin is glowing! It is so soft and smooth and there is no trace of make-up. I even used this to cleanse my skin of really heavy make-up and it worked like wonders. I highly recommed this! Once you have tried it you can't live without it!

I received this as a free sample with my ultra calming cleanser, I thought it was amazing, the smell, the feel, the way your skin feels afterwards it is absolutley lovely,it just felt like such a treat!!! Well worth it.

A fantastic product that, when combined with the Ultra Calming Cleaner, leaves my sensitive skim really clean without drying it out at all. Also shifts eye make-up easily. Smells lovely too!

I have used this for about six months, and some days ago I was to lazy and didn't use it and now I have break-outs. :( So don't stop cleansing! However this is a really good product, and sometimes I only use precleanse to clean my skin if my skin feels dry. But if I use it as a eyemakeup remover my eyes get a bit irritated.

Worthwhile for makeup

I don't notice any difference with this unless I've worn make-up (rarely) or my skin feels dirty (like when I've been into London and the smog is in my pores). Everyday use is wasted on me.

Must have for very oily skin!

I have to mention that I started with the "founder" of this idea - original Purifying Oil by Shu Uemura. The idea back then was shocking for me - oil for oily skin?! Are you nuts?! Even though I tried it back then and was very impressed with the result I didn't repurchase Purifying Oil. It was my favourite Dermalogica that got me into a habit to use "oil" to clean my oily skin religiously every day. I have very oily skin and I have to wear make-up to work. Even if I don't wear make-up, PreCleanse is essential to clean my face properly. It "melts" the grease on my skin surface, it dissolves mascara, eye-shadows and lipstick. It requires to be followed up by your skin type cleanser (I use Dermal Clay Cleanser for my very oily skin) and I personally prefer to follow up eye and lip area with Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover just to get rid of that slightly "oily" feeling left after washing away Pre-Cleanse. and to prepare my eyelids and lips for the creams. Some days that I didn't wear make-up and didn't go outside I would skip PreCleanse, but if I had make-up on - nothing will remove my make-up as thoroughly as Pre-Cleanse + Cleanser. I recommend it to anyone who wears make-up and/or have very oily skin and can't wait to wash the face as soon as gets home.

Love it!

I don't have problem prone skin, and don't use a lot of make up. But my skin has looked so dull lately, and I'm so glad I tried this product! My skin has never looked better, and I've have only used it for a week! I'm using it with Special Cleansing Gel daily, and Microfoliant twice a week. My pores have gotten visibly smaller and the skin looks so clean and radiant! Love it!
